Leveraging Ballistic Math, Materials Science, and common sense, we calculate the Muzzle Velocity that will result in the best groups for your chosen components. Stop searching aimlessly for the best recipe!
This service includes a calculated Accuracy Muzzle Velocity (AMV) for two accuracy nodes, one standard and one "mild" load, for one combination of Projectile, Powder, and Case type. It also includes the suggested Powder Charges for a velocity ladder test to use with your chronograph to obtain the exact charge for Your Rifle.
All we need is:
- Your Cartridge type (over 150 Cartridges supported!)
- Your case capacity, measured in grains of water - Weigh a fired case, fill with water, weigh again and subtract the two numbers
- Your Barrel length, from bolt face to the muzzle, excluding any muzzle devices like brakes, suppressors, etc. within 1/16" of an Inch
- Your selected Projectile and Powder - like Hodgdon Varget, Alliant Reloder 15, etc.
- Your Cartridge Overall Length (COAL) - from base to tip, NOT base to ogive
This service includes also easy-to-use Instructions and reloading recommendations for the consistent results.
Includes an AMV and ladder test range for One combination of Cartridge, Bullet, and Powder
NOTE - USING THIS SERVICE REQUIRES A RELIABLE CHRONOGRAPH.
The availability of reloading supplies is difficult to predict. Want an alternate powder, bullet, or brass type to use as a backup when your favorites are unavailable? Click below to add an AMV calculation and suggested charges for one alternate component (one additional bullet, one additional powder, or one additional brass case capacity).
Includes an AMV and ladder test range for one additional bullet, or powder, or brass manufacturer.
